Taipei in three days: a plan by neighborhood
Divide three days in Taipei between Dadaocheng, the Xinyi area and Beitou. This example mixes older streets, contemporary city sights and a slower outing. Keep optional viewpoints and bathing visits separate from the core plan until you have checked access and current operating details.
A planning example, not a live timetable. Confirm opening days, reservations, access and transport for your dates.

Before you use this plan
This example assumes three full days after arrival and a place to stay with useful transport connections. Day order is flexible. Attraction visits, meals and transfers need their own time buffers; this is not a timed or accessibility-verified route.
Day 1 · Dadaocheng and Dihua Street
Start with a walk around Dihua Street and leave time for small shops and a meal. Choose a short riverside extension only if the weather and your group’s pace suit it.

Day 2 · Xinyi and a city-view option
Explore the Xinyi area around Taipei 101. Decide separately whether to book an observation-deck visit; weather and visibility can affect the experience. Keep shopping or an indoor break as a flexible alternative.

Day 3 · A slower day in Beitou
Use Beitou for a slower day, with a neighborhood walk and a visit to the Beitou Hot Springs Museum if it is open. Treat a hot-spring bathing session as an optional booking with its own facility rules rather than assuming it is included.

Adjust it to your trip
On a rainy day, shorten outdoor walks and confirm one indoor venue rather than moving between many districts. For a short arrival or departure day, choose only the area nearest your accommodation or transport connection.
What should I budget for?
Allow separately for accommodation, local transport, meals and optional admission tickets. This guide does not quote a total price. Check current fares, venue prices and reservation rules using the official references, then record your own estimates in your plan.
Check for your travel dates
- Check opening days, ticket availability and operator notices before assigning times.
- Review weather and transport changes, and keep an indoor or shorter option.
- Confirm walking distances, steps and access needs for everyone traveling.
